Norma and Tony Urwin recently took over the Amble Angling Centre and
bring with them years of experience in all aspects of sea fishing. The
shop is well situated within a few minutes walk of Amble pier and
harbour, on the corner of Newburgh Street and Leslie Drive.
The shop has recently been extensively
restocked with top of the range equipment including:
- beach rods by Fladen, Ron Thompson and
Shakespeare
- boat rods by Maximus solid carbon
- reels, multipliers and fixed spools, by
Penn, Abu, Daiwa, Maximus, and many more
Plus top brand names for all your other
fishing accessories including line, hooks, rod rests, tackle boxes and a
wide range of all weather clothing. Everything for the professional beach and boat fisherman as well as the pleasure fisherman.
They also stock the following live and
frozen baits which can all be pre-ordered:
- live lug, lob and rag

- fresh mussel and brandling
- frozen crab, squid, mackerel, mussel,
sand eel, razorfish, cuttlefish, prawn, shrimp and runny down
